Dr Stanford was appointed to the Board in September 2023 and is a member of the Audit and People & Governance Committees.
Michael has over 20 years’ experience as a Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of large multi-campus and multi-service health care organisations with national and international areas of operation, including St John of God Health Care, Australian Hospital Care Ltd, North-Western Health. North-Eastern Health Care Network and Austin & Repatriation Medical Centre.
He is also a board member for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of New South Wales and a Master of Business Administration from Macquarie University. He is a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to the health sector.
