At Healius Ltd, we are committed to fostering a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace where all individuals feel respected, valued and encouraged to contribute. We believe diversity drives innovation, enhances decision-making, and importantly, reflects the communities and patients we proudly serve across Australia.

Governance and Accountability

Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) are embedded in our governance frameworks and leadership accountability:

  • The Board oversees the Company’s DEI strategy and monitors progress through the People and Governance Committee against measurable objectives set out in our Culture dashboard.
  • The People & Culture Committee regularly reviews DEI performance metrics, representation targets, and inclusive workplace indicators.
  • Senior executives are held accountable for advancing DEI outcomes through annual performance and remuneration assessments.

Enterprise-Wide DEI Commitments

Our DEI strategy applies across all levels of the organisation and is guided by the following principles:

  • Inclusive Culture: We actively promote an inclusive and respectful environment that embraces diversity of thought, background, experience, gender, ethnicity, culture, ability, age, and LGBTIQ+ identity.
  • Equitable Opportunities: We are committed to fair and unbiased access to career development, leadership pathways and workplace participation.
  • Representation and Participation: We set targets and monitor progress to improve the representation of women in leadership, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and other underrepresented groups.

Focus on Talent Acquisition

We recognise that equitable access to opportunity begins with how we attract and hire talent. Our recruitment practices are designed to remove barriers and promote diversity across the talent pipeline:

  • Bias-free Hiring Practices: We implement structured, standardised assessment tools and use inclusive language in job advertisements.
  • Diverse Candidate Slates: Hiring panels are encouraged to seek diverse shortlists and ensure balanced representation throughout the recruitment process.
  • Partnerships: We collaborate with external organisations to increase access to talent from underrepresented groups, including Indigenous communities, people living with disability, Veterans and culturally and linguistically diverse candidates.
  • Technology and Data: We use analytics to track equity in hiring outcomes and identify areas for improvement.

Monitoring and Reporting

We regularly measure progress and report against our DEI objectives in our Annual Report, Corporate Governance Statement, and Sustainability Disclosures, including:

  • Gender diversity metrics at Board, Executive, and workforce levels.
  • Pay equity analysis.
  • DEI engagement indicators from employee surveys.
  • Progress against measurable objectives outlined in the Culture dashboard (which embeds our Diversity and Inclusion Policy).
