Healius' response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus)
Healius is committed to providing essential healthcare services to the Australian community in response to the Coronavirus pandemic and for all other healthcare needs.
In response to Coronavirus, all Healius businesses are following guidelines and recommendations provided by the Australian Department of Health and the relevant public health unit in each state. Our response and associated actions remain dynamic.
As part of our response, Healius has set up a number of dedicated COVID-19 collection centres, pop-up drive through collection facilities, and telehealth solutions.
Our centres have appropriate control procedures in place to ensure the maximum safety of our employees, patients and the wider community.
We are undertaking testing for COVID-19 in all our pathology laboratories across the country with extensive COVID-19 testing capacity. Our Pathology operations are well equipped to handle COVID-19 testing for the community as well as businesses and individuals as and when businesses and travel reopen. Our Imaging facilities in community, hospital and medical centre environments are operating and have appropriate controls, signage, isolation processes and social distancing measures in place.
Our Day Hospitals, and IVF facilities are operating in line with government guidelines in each relevant state with appropriate controls and social distancing measures in place.
As an employer of over 10,500 people, we take the safety of our staff very seriously and personal protection equipment is being provided as appropriate, supported by training, updated procedures and regular communications, in order that they may continue to provide essential healthcare.
